Web Performance, Inc. Tops Customer Survey

A new independent survey by Amplitude Research rated Web Performance, Inc. as having the “highest level of satisfaction among those currently performing web server performance tests. […] Web Performance, Inc. demonstrated, on a statistical basis, significantly higher ratings than Mercury Interactive and Empirix among survey takers.”
Amplitude Research, Inc conducted a survey of persons in the
technology industry over a six-day period beginning on July 9, 2002
and ending on July 15, 2002 concerning their rating of web server
load test vendors. Vendors were limited to those that publicly
advertise use of their own proprietary testing software rather than
use 3rd party software. The total number of survey completions was
319, and respondents represented a broad range of technology-sector
employees including CEOs, managers, and programmers.
The results of the survey were clear: “significant differences were
found to exist among the ratings of satisfaction for the vendors
at a very conservative level of testing.” Individuals who are presently
conducting load tests at the time of the survey might be assumed
to be the most knowledgable sources of information about the various
vendors. Web Performance, Inc. had the highest level of vendor
satisfaction in this group, which reflects the company’s committment
