Load Testing

Once the testcases have been developed, running a real-browser Load Test requires several more steps

  1. Create a load configuration – this defines what testcases will run and for how long. This is covered in the product help – look for “Run a Load Test”.
  2. Configure additional load engines – Running a large number of real browsers requires additional computers, which we call load engines. This topic is also covered in the product help (look for the Load Engines page), but this page will clarify a few items that are specific to real-browser load engines.
  3. Install server monitoring agents (optional) – the agents collect metrics from the servers being tested. These metrics are integrated into the load test report and are invaluable when assessing system capacity and diagnosing performance problems. Search the product help for Server Monitoring
  4. Run the test – start the test and watch it go!
  5. Analyze the results – see the Load Test Report section of the product help.
