\nOn October 21, 2003 WPI will release the latest version of Web Performance Trainer™ that adds new high-end features such as IP spoofing, client certificates, VPN support, and scheduled playback, along
\nwith a host of other enhancements.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\nWhen real users access a web site the requests come from individual
\ncomputers, each with a unique IP address. This information is often
\nused by hardware load balancers and routers, as well as web server
\nsoftware. The virtual users generated by Web Performance Trainer&trade
\n2.6 can have unique IP addresses even if there is only a single
\nnetwork card in your test computer.<\/p>\n
Client certificates and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) are popular
\nways to control access to corporate networks. With Web Performance
\nTrainer&trade 2.6 each virtual user can be assigned a unique client
\ncertificate, and can be used either by itself or in conjunction
\nwith usernames, passwords, or any other information. Both recording
\nand playback can now take place over a VPN as well.<\/p>\n
Other features in the 2.6 release include global export of test
\ndata to a spreadsheet, choice of integrated, online, or printed
\nhelp, and the ability to start playback from the commandline which
\ncan be used to schedule playback using your operating systems
\nbuild-in scheduling facility.<\/p>\n

\nCustomers who have a current Premium Maintenance\/Support Contract
\nwill receive a new license key via email over the coming weeks.
\nCustomers who purchased up to three months ago will also receive
\na free upgraded license. All others have the option of either
\npurchasing the new version or renewing their Maintenance\/Support
