Releases Web Performance Trainer\u2122 2.6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Raleigh, NC<\/i> &#8211;<br \/>\nOn October 21, 2003 WPI will release the latest version of Web Performance Trainer&trade; that adds new high-end features such as IP spoofing, client certificates, VPN support, and scheduled playback, along<br \/>\nwith a host of other enhancements.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\nWhen real users access a web site the requests come from individual<br \/>\ncomputers, each with a unique IP address. This information is often<br \/>\nused by hardware load balancers and routers, as well as web server<br \/>\nsoftware. The virtual users generated by Web Performance Trainer&amp;trade<br \/>\n2.6 can have unique IP addresses even if there is only a single<br \/>\nnetwork card in your test computer.<\/p>\n<p>Client certificates and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) are popular<br \/>\nways to control access to corporate networks.  With Web Performance<br \/>\nTrainer&amp;trade 2.6 each virtual user can be assigned a unique client<br \/>\ncertificate, and can be used either by itself or in conjunction<br \/>\nwith usernames, passwords, or any other information. Both recording<br \/>\nand playback can now take place over a VPN as well.<\/p>\n<p>Other features in the 2.6 release include global export of test<br \/>\ndata to a spreadsheet, choice of integrated, online, or printed<br \/>\nhelp, and the ability to start playback from the commandline which<br \/>\ncan be used to schedule playback using your operating systems<br \/>\nbuild-in scheduling facility.<\/p>\n<p><b>Upgrade Policy<\/b><br \/>\nCustomers who have a current Premium Maintenance\/Support Contract<br \/>\nwill receive a new license key via email over the coming weeks.<br \/>\nCustomers who purchased up to three months ago will also receive<br \/>\na free upgraded license.
