[&#8230;] Web Performance, Inc. demonstrated, on a statistical basis, significantly higher ratings than Mercury Interactive and Empirix among survey takers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Amplitude Research, Inc conducted a survey of persons in the<br \/>\ntechnology industry over a six-day period beginning on July 9, 2002<br \/>\nand ending on July 15, 2002 concerning their rating of web server<br \/>\nload test vendors. Vendors were limited to those that publicly<br \/>\nadvertise use of their own proprietary testing software rather than<br \/>\nuse 3rd party software. The total number of survey completions was<br \/>\n319, and respondents represented a broad range of technology-sector<br \/>\nemployees including CEOs, managers, and programmers.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the survey were clear: &#8220;significant differences were<br \/>\nfound to exist among the ratings of satisfaction for the vendors<br \/>\nat a very conservative level of testing.&#8221; Individuals who are presently<br \/>\nconducting load tests at the time of the survey might be assumed<br \/>\nto be the most knowledgable sources of information about the various<br \/>\nvendors.
